New Years in Japan

This video is about 4 years old now, but I thought I’d re-post it now because it’ll give you a look at what New Years is like in Japan.

News & Christmas Greetings

Hi everyone,

In my last prayer letter, some things were kind of up in the air. So I wanted to write to you today with an update. In the past week, I’ve received the paperwork I was waiting for, applied for and received my work visa, and booked my plane ticket back to Japan.

I’m scheduled to leave, as I was hoping, right after Christmas: this Saturday, December 27. I’ll arrive in Nagoya Sunday night, local time. I’d appreciate it if you would remember me in your prayers as I travel.

Thank you for your prayers and support throughout 2014! Lord wiling, my next email will be from Japan in early January. In the meantime, I hope you have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Christmas in Japan (Music Video)

In celebration of the season, I’m going to be posting some holiday videos here. This one’s called Christmas in Japan, by my friend John Janzen (Fatblueman). You either get it or you don’t…

December Prayer Letter

Hi everyone,

November brought me to the end of Partnership Development. In total I’ve visited 25 churches since late June. It’s been great re-connecting with supporters, family and friends. I’m super thankful for the encouragement and hospitality I’ve received, as well as God’s protection and provision over these past 6 months.

What’s next? Well, my current plans are to return to Japan between Christmas and New Year. However, I’m still waiting on an important document from Japan that I need before I can apply for my visa. And of course, without a visa, I can’t return to Japan. Please pray that God will provide!

I’d also appreciate your prayers for God’s direction for the next phase of ministry, especially our English ministry in Nagoya.

Hopefully I’ll be in touch soon to let you know how God has answered your prayers, and to tell you my specific plans for returning to Japan.

In the meantime, thank you for your ongoing prayers and financial support!

Blessings,

– Robin

Adventures With Food! (video)

The blog has been pretty quiet lately except for my monthly prayer updates, so while I’m still in Canada and have some extra time as Partnership Development comes to an end, I think I’ll post some videos and stuff here. This is one I just finished editing and uploading, and is a compilation of several short food-related clips. Enjoy.

My Pray for Japan Video

This is a video I put together a while back, that I’ve been showing at churches I’ve been visiting during Partnership Development. A look at the beautiful sights of the country I call home, and a reminder to pray for the 99% unreached.

October Prayer Letter

Hi everyone,

I’m writing to you today from Massachusetts. I’ve now been on the road for almost a month. It has been tiring at times, but I’m thankful for safe travels and good times of reconnecting with supporters in Ontario and the US. As a bonus, I’ve also had the opportunity to catch up with some old friends along the way, and I even did some sight-seeing.

I’ve still got about 2 weeks left before I’ll be back at my parents’ place in New Brunswick. I’d really appreciate your continuing prayers for safe travel and effective ministry. I’m also still waiting on some paperwork I need for my visa to Japan, so please keep that matter in your prayers as well.

Meanwhile, in Japan, I’ve getting good reports on how our English ministry is continuing in my absence. Please keep my students and substitute teachers in your prayers. Also, Global Partners director Dennis Jackson will be visiting Japan later in the month to meet with our Japanese leaders and discuss our ministry there. Pray that these meetings are fruitful and will help GP build on our partnerships in Japan.

Thank you for being a part of our mission in Japan through your prayers and giving!
